As a passionate Licensed Masters Level Social Worker, I have been working with individuals and couples for 26 years. My specialties include communication skills, anger management, grief, self-harm, relationship issues, parenting, depression, bi-polar and adjustment disorders. My many years of experience allows me to understand the best ways to address each client’s needs in an effective manner. I am flexible in my approach and use collaboration as the basis of my therapy—ensuring a comfortable, safe environment where we can work together on your goals. I believe everyone deserves to be listened to, heard and respected as individuals. I use humor (as appropriate), compassion and empathy when dealing with individuals and couples. I also integrate other techniques like mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). These strategies can help you manage challenging emotions, develop healthy coping mechanisms, process a traumatic event(s), and build resilience for a brighter tomorrow.
